**ABOUT THE JOB**

This position reports to the Group IT Manager and is responsible for IT support of hotels via a Help Desk model of service. IT support includes the operation of all computer hardware and networks, in addition to the administration of servers and essential backups. Hands-on support of business-critical IT systems and liaison with third-party support services are required to ensure swift identification of issues and mínimal disruption to customers and staff.

This role is available for immediate start on a full-time salary basis and has the potential to expand in scope over time. The role is based at Matthews Hospitality Head Office, Level 1 at The Maylands Hotel.

Core Responsibilities include:

- Log support queries as received, prioritising and escalating as required.
- Install, administer, and repair computer hardware, such as desktops, printers, and related computer hardware.
- Install and repair POS hardware, such as Touch screens, docket printers, and cash drawers.
- Maintain and support IT networks and assist with the management of backup systems.
- Maintenance and administration of websites and Intranet.
- Assist with the management of Active Directory, Azure AD and Office 365.
- Provide support for Windows, Microsoft Office
- Provide support for business systems such as POS and Stock Control Systems (Bepoz), Time & Attendance systems (Tanda), accommodation systems (Cloudbeds) and gaming systems (Maxetag).
- Assist with the implementation and support of system integrations.
- Assist with the Training of end users on various IT systems, including preparation of documentation for end users.

**ABOUT YOU**

Essential Criteria
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Understanding of hospitality/hotel operations and business acumen
- Friendly and approachable
- Capacity and capability to manage competing priorities
- Proactive on-site and desk-based support
- Enthusiasm and initiative with operational and strategic level tasks
- Minimum two year's experience in an entry-level IT role
- Certificate 4 in IT
- Current driver's license
- Australian citizen or have Permanent Residency in Australia
- Customer service-focused approach
- Ability to travel regionally for overnight stays, expenses paid

Desirable Attributes
- Experience in a hospitality environment with exposure to point-of-sale equipment and software (desirable).
- Bachelor's Degree in ITC, this position is open to graduates.
- Looking to build a career in a varied and multiskilled ITC role.
