Our client, a rapidly growing apparel retailer with a thriving presence in both brick and mortar and Ecommerce channels, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Production to join their team. This is a rare opportunity to make your mark and shape the future of an industry-leading brand.

As the Head of Production, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our client's production team. You will lead the development and execution of the production strategy, overseeing all aspects of the production function, including margin optimisation, lead time management, compliance, quality control and logistics.

This newly created position offers a mix of strategic thinking, operational expertise and team leadership.

You will be managing production operations across China, Bangladesh, Vietnam and Cambodia. Your extensive experience in international production management will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our client's global supply chain. With your supportive leadership mindset, you will empower and inspire your team to achieve exceptional results.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Elevating and protecting high standards of product quality
- Leading a team of 4 professionals, that oversee a large volume of orders spanning apparel, footwear and accessories categories
- Managing factory compliance, from onboarding to audits and inspections
- Cultivating and nurturing strong supplier relationships, expanding the current supply chain while protecting its integrity
- Collaborating closely with the Product Development team on sourcing, fits, costings and approvals
- Overseeing the fit process, ensuring efficient communication and seamless collaboration
- Championing compliance and testing efforts related to fabric/garment performance and restricted substances
- Mastering critical path management, conducting weekly production meetings with your direct reports and the product team
- Acting as the primary point of contact for all supplier communication
- Developing and maintaining a comprehensive supplier manual, ensuring suppliers are up to date with the latest information
- Collaborating with the Sourcing Manager to execute a robust global sourcing strategy
- Managing seasonal production capacities with key partners, ensuring smooth operations and timely delivery

**To excel in this role, you'll need**:

- 10+ years of experience as a Production Manager or Head of Production
- A proven track record in a similar role within a high-volume apparel retailer
- Well-established networks with overseas factories and suppliers
- Strong production and technical knowledge, enabling you to make informed decisions
- Exceptional leadership skills with a passion for mentoring and developing others
- Outstanding negotiation abilities, allowing you to secure the best deals for the company
