**About the role**:
We are seeking an experienced individual, passionate about health, safety, environment, and wellbeing, with great industry knowledge to join RHG as our
**Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Specialist **for the East Coast.
***

This position is fulltime, working
**Monday - Friday**, from either our Brisbane (Acacia Ridge) or Newcastle office.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Measuring and reporting safety statistics, monthly reporting and KPI's
- Conducting incident investigations, toolbox talks and internal safety audits
- Managing, planning and implementing rehabilitation and return to work strategies
- Actively participating in, and leading, hazard identification and reporting
- Delivering WHS and wellness initiatives to raise safety awareness and drive engagement
- Responsibility for the continuous improvement of the RHG WHS Management System

**About you**:
It all sounds great doesn't it, so what do we expect of you?
- Cert IV in Work Health and Safety (BSB41419) or equivalent
- Rail Safe Working qualifications and/or experience desireable
- Proven experience working in a similar OSH/WHS/OHS role
- Full driver's license essential
- A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently
- First Aid Certificate highly desired
- Incident Investigation experience and training i.e. ICAM desirable
- A strong communicator who can work with staff at any level to resolve WHS enquiries
