Overview

">Develop a comprehensive Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) strategy to safeguard Public Transport Services.">

As a senior health and safety professional, you will lead the development and implementation of WHS policies, frameworks, and Zero Harm systems across Public Transport Services. You will provide expert guidance and support to managers and employees, contribute to Council's Zero Harm strategy, and drive continuous improvement through data analysis, risk management, and strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert guidance and support to managers and employees.">
  • Contribute to Council's Zero Harm strategy, and drive continuous improvement through data analysis, risk management, and strategic initiatives.">
  • Collaborate with teams to shape a mature safety culture, ensure compliance with legislation, and deliver safer outcomes for our people and the community.">

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, strategy, and implementation of Zero Harm initiatives.">
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify WHS issues and deliver effective solutions.">
  • Experience developing, maintaining, and monitoring WHS management systems and performance metrics.">
  • Proven experience in mentoring, coaching, and developing team members.">
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels to support WHS responsibilities.">
  • Project management experience delivering WHS/Zero Harm initiatives on time and within budget.">
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills across diverse stakeholders.">
  • Strategic thinking and judgement in managing complex technical and interpersonal issues with senior leaders and decision-makers.">
