At Community Advantage Rehabilitation, we work together with our clients to advance their quality of life using best practices, innovation and quality standards.Primary ResponsibilitiesDeliver prescribed treatment plan as assigned by the supervising therapist in to individuals living in the communityPerform various treatments as prescribed and directed by the supervising therapist including but not limited to gait training, balance exercises, transfer training, range of motion, strengthening, application of modalities.
(i.e. ultrasound, TENS), ADL retraining, cognitive retraining, wheelchair skills, etc.Deliver dynamic, safe and therapeutically beneficial home exercise programsMaintain regular ongoing communication with the supervising therapist regarding any changes or concerns about a client's status or treatment interventionsEffectively communicate information to client/caregiversComplete and maintain current and accurate documentation related to client's progress using EMR technologyUnderstands and implements infection prevention practiceRequirementsGraduate of a recognized OTA/PTA program (required)Experience working within a community setting is an asset but RAs with general experience are also encouraged to applyAbility to work independently and as part of an inter-professional teamOutstanding focus on safety and ethical standardsStrong ability to build rapport with clientsAbility to prioritize, manage self-scheduling and meet reporting deadlinesExcellent oral, written and report writing skillsProficiency with computersStrong interpersonal and organizational skillsReliable transportation is required for this positionVisit us on today
