We are looking for an experienced Manager, Payroll Services to manage, mentor and lead a high performing payroll services team.
How you will make a difference
As a key member of the Finance, Risk and Payroll leadership team you will be responsible for leading and managing the payroll services team to ensure timely and accurate production of the payroll and remuneration services.
You will provide data analysis and comprehensive reporting to enable robust management decision-making.
Manager, Payroll Services
As Manager, Payroll Services you will ensure the timely and accurate delivery of the Parliament's fortnightly payroll process.
You will have responsibility for the preparation and payment of all State and Federal tax obligations including Single Touch Payroll, PAYGW tax, Payroll tax, Workcover and Super Guarantee contributions ensuring compliance at all times.
Working closely with the People & Capability Unit, you will also provide expert advice, coaching, strategies and options to Members of Parliament, management, and employees on a range of Pay and People related matters.
Skills that set you apart
You will bring demonstrated experience in the management and delivery of payroll services, including management and development of a computerised human capital management system (payroll). This includes proven experience in the administration of payroll on-costs and legislative reporting.
You also have excellent analytical, problem solving, project management and negotiation skills with a proven ability to interpret and provide authoritative and timely advice on pay/human resource policies, enterprise agreements and relevant legislation related to payroll and HR administration.
With highly developed written communication and interpersonal skills you will place an emphasis on developing and maintaining successful relationships at all levels of the organisation and providing high level confidential client services.
