The Distribution Optimisation Specialist is responsible to the business for ensuring the Qantas Distribution Platform (QDP) is being developed and used to the best effect and for managing the quality, delivery, maintenance, improvement and performance functions.

You'll have:

- Demonstrated recent knowledge and experience in gathering requirements, documenting requirements, project delivery, delivery of releases and providing support to system users.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence decision-making at a senior level with customers, vendors and internal colleagues.
- Proven analytical ability (including trend analysis) and strong numerical ability involving manipulation of data.
- Highly developed time management and organisational skills.
- Experience in working in an operational environment handling and resolving incidents and problems and driving continuous improvement.
- Can work individually and in a team; ability to lead or work on multiple projects as necessary.
- Ability to quickly develop and maintain strong support networks within large organisations.
- Demonstrated aptitude for logical analysis, problem identification and problem solving.
- Experience leading validation and testing teams, including iteration reviews and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Solid understanding of Airline distribution including knowledge of NDC.
- Knowledge of airline indirect and/or direct customer sales and support processes.
- Demonstrated experience in airline reservations and operations.
- Solid knowledge and experience using Confluence and Jira.
