Myer is a self-insured employer for workers compensation in NSW. We are looking for a committed and dedicated workers compensation professional to join our growing team in the role of **Claims & Injury Management Advisor**.

You will be joining Myer's Risk & Safety team in delivering excellent care to our valued team members in their return-to-work journey following injury, while maintaining a strong focus on the benefits of recovery at work, cost control, and compliance with legislative obligations.

**About the Role**:
Reporting to the Claims & Injury Management Lead NSW / ACT, the **Claims & Injury Management Advisor** is responsible for the provision of all aspects of injury and claim management, from initial notification of an injury right through to claim finalisation.

The role offers the flexibility of working from home and our office located in the Myer Roselands store where there is abundant parking at the door.

You will be required to:

- Be detail focused and maintain a strong focus on compliance;
- Proactively promote recovery and return to work, preparing Injury Management Plans that address risk factors to recovery;
- Liaise with treatment providers, including allied health professionals, specialists and the nominated treating doctor.
- Participate in medical case conferences and worksite visits where necessary;
- Prepare written correspondence related to claims management in accordance with NSW legislation.
- Determine Pre-Injury Average Weekly Earnings and ensure team members are paid their correct entitlements.
- Provide coaching and advice to site management to develop capability in early intervention and managing return to work processes.
- Provide an excellent level of customer service to all stakeholders.
- Participate in claim review and strategy session with the business; and,
- While Myer is not self-insured in the ACT, you may also be required at times to assist with the return to work of injured team members by liaising with Myer's insurer in the ACT.

**What you will bring to the role**:

- Minimum 2 years experience in managing NSW workers compensation claims;
- Highly developed interpersonal skills and written communication skills to facilitate all aspects of claims and injury management;
- Highly developed planning, prioritisation and organisational skills;
- Excellent analytical and technical skills;
- High attention to detail;
- Experience in review and approval of medical services and treatment requests;
- Experience in liaising with treatment providers;
- Experience working in a self-insurance environment is preferred;
- Relevant qualification in an Allied Health discipline would be highly regarded but not essential; and
- A strong commitment to meeting and exceeding expectations.
