About the opportunity
As a person-centred Occupational Therapist, you will be supporting people of all ages within a transdisciplinary team with the aim to enhance the lives of our clients to live life in their terms.
In this role you will:.
Support adults, older adults and their families
You will have supervision and work as part of a team
Provide both individual and group OT training/intervention programs to achieve maximum independence and participation in activities appropriate to the client's developmental level
Assess and train clients in the use of assistive devices and equipment to do everyday activities, such as cooking, cleaning, showering etc.
Provide/advise on low-vision techniques and strategies to improve their occupational performance on daily activities and improve quality of life
To be successful in this role you must hold a nationally recognised Qualification in Occupational Therapy and a current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
You will also have:
Knowledge and skills in working with children and young people
Be a team player who is passionate in supporting people to live life on their terms and build on their independence
Enthusiastic to provide exceptional client services to children and young people that are blind or have low vision
Being proactive and showing creativity is strongly encouraged
