Job Description

We are expanding ourmultidisciplinary team supporting NDIS participants living in the Wollongong & Nowra region's and welcome anOccupational Therapist looking to make a meaningful and rewarding impact in their local community. You'll bring expertise, maturity and strong time management and organisational skills to the role.

Successful candidates will be providing supports to cover NDIS participants living inthe following areas (depending on where you live) Wollongong, Nowra & surrounding suburbs.

We will provide you with structured supervision, mentoring and CPD opportunities. We promise to invest in you, so you can thrive in our fast-paced, energetic, and fun workplace. No two days are ever the same You might find us in childcare centres, schools, aged care facilities, day programs, the community, homes, and/or our clinic space.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Manage an allocated caseload (based on your negotiated hours) and deliver timely therapeutic services
  • Assess participants' developmental, cognitive, emotional, psychological and physical function and capacity through clinical observations and standardised assessments
  • Interpret findings to formulate treatment goals unique to each participant
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to help participants enhance their quality of life and meet their goals
  • Mentor and nurture early career clinicians
  • Maintain awareness of current legislation to ensure compliance

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Current registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills to manage a varied caseload
  • A pro-active attitude and interest in continually developing your skills
  • Experience in mentoring and supervising other Occupational Therapists
  • A genuine passion for working in the disability sector
