Software Quality Assurance Specialist
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Software Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our development team to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products.
Job Responsibilities:
To thoroughly test changes and new features across our platforms.
To create detailed test plans and documentation to track outcomes.
To liaise with developers and other stakeholders to have defects and quality issues corrected.
To ensure that the final work product meets all the requirements of the feature's scope.
To validate and verify that features and functions are working as intended.
To educate software engineers on common defects and mentor them in improving their own self-testing abilities.
Requirements:
A minimum of one to three years' experience working within the software development life cycle.
Extremely detail oriented and able to identify user experience problems.
A good understanding of software development and programming.
Curiosity and the ability to think outside the box to determine niche edge cases.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to assist in debugging complex issues.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with command-line interfaces and Linux environments.
An excellent understanding of relational databases, particularly MySQL, and confident writing SQL queries.
The ability to create specific test scenarios through manual manipulation.
Experience with RESTful APIs and SOAP Web Services.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with QA software such as SoapUI, Postman, BurpSuite, ZAP, Fiddler.
Experience with project management tools such as Jira and Trello.
Knowledge of the Domain Names and Web Hosting industry.
Familiarity with Git (including GitHub) and version control.
