Are you an early riser with a passion for hospitality and leadership?
Join our team at the Departure Lounge Cafe, the largest of our five café locations.
From the 5am coffee rush to lunchtime service, you'll lead a small team delivering great food and customer service to our passengers.
About the Role
This is a hands-on leadership role reporting to the Café Manager and Assistant Café Manager, who manage admin, rosters and stock across all five cafés – so you can focus on what matters most: smooth daily operations, team performance and customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support the café staff.
Delegate tasks and maintain operational efficiency.
Prepare fresh menu items and barista-made coffee.
Handle cash and daily reconciliation.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in all café areas.
Ensure compliance with food safety, health, and company policies.
About You
2+ years' experience in food and beverage, with leadership responsibilities.
Strong communication and multitasking skills
Passion for customer service and team development.
Available to work five consecutive days, including one weekend day and Public Holidays.
Potential for occasional work outside these days depending on operational requirements and availability.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA): Essential
Food Safety Certificate: Essential
Coffee making skills: Excellent
First Aid / CPR Certificates: Desirable (or willing to obtain)
Early starts, early finishes
Penalty rates for weekends, public holidays and early mornings
Friendly team and great food
