**Additional/mandatory requirements**: - Degree qualifications in allied health, nursing, human services, social or behavioural sciences, or a related field from a recognised tertiary institution with eligibility for full registration with the relevant registration board or membership with the relevant professional association or eligible for membership to their relevant professional association. - People with lived experience of disability are strongly encouraged to apply. Disability Worker Screening clearance. Possession of a C class driver's licence. Some intrastate travel will be required. It is a condition of employment to comply with the department's COVID-19 Vaccination Requirements policy. Where this policy requirement applies, employees must provide evidence of their vaccination status including having the prescribed number of doses of an approved COVID-19 vaccine prior to the commencement of their employment.Key responsibilities of this role: - Undertake comprehensive specialist disability assessments to support a person with disability to access the NDIS. - Undertake various psychological assessments including but not limited to cognitive, autism and adaptive functioning.
- Prepare high quality reports, submissions, briefs and other documentation for clients presenting with complex needs, within specified time frames and in line with relevant practice and procedures. Actively contribute to the end-to-end intensive case management approach to support a person with a disability to access the NDIS. Maintain an active clinical caseload of individuals with complex needs. Mentor and support PO2/PO3 Clinicians to develop a clinical practice framework that supports achievement of program goals. Provide support to the Senior Clinician on consultations for the Assessment and Referral Team and external providers. Provide support to the Manager in ensuring the team delivers high quality support services and appropriate service responses to assist people with disability to access the NDIS. Contribute to analysis, review and evaluation of clinical processes and procedures to inform future planning and strategies designed to remove obstacles and challenges for people with disability accessing the NDIS. Create and maintain client records consistent with departmental and legislative requirements.Applications to remain current for 12 months.This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Australia License.
