This is a full-time, permanent role where you'll work as part of a dynamic team focused on fostering skills development in a respectful and secure environment.As a Trade Instructor in the Waste Management team, you'll make a positive impact by :Delivering employment in waste management to improve prisoner employabilityConducting daily tool audits, managing equipment maintenance, and overseeing inmate safety in the work areaPromoting the value of employment, education and vocational training within the correctional facilitySupporting the rehabilitation of prisoners by encouraging program participation and providing valuable skill-building opportunitiesEnsuring compliance with Work Health & Safety policies and correctional standardsSerco is a place for youYou are an experienced professional with a passion for industries training and rehabilitation.

You are organized, safety-conscious, and dedicated to maintaining a secure and respectful workspace.To Be Successful In This Role, You'll HaveRelevant qualifications in Waste Management or the willingness to attain them within 12 monthsTrade qualifications in construction or other fields will be looked at favourably.Strong knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety requirements in a workshop or industry settingA commitment to cultural awareness, with an understanding of diverse ethnic backgrounds and needsExperience in vocational training and an ability to engage adult learnersA valid Driver's License and Forklift LicenseYou do not need to meet every listed requirement to apply for this position.
