**Lead 3D Modeller**

We have an immediate requirement for a creative, reliable, and results-driven Lead 3D Modeller to join our team to undertake more complex 3D modeling production tasks and by utilising his/her knowledge and experience assist in the skills development and training of the production team.

This role may undertake various assignments based on the skill set and project needs:

- Lead Artist responsible for leading a small team to develop and deliver project work packages.
- Designer assisting with the technical design of a project solution.
- Artist responsible for the development of assigned project tasks.
- Researcher into new technologies, tools and methods.
- Technical expert providing leadership, mentoring and support in areas of expertise.

**Requirements**:

- Provide leadership, motivation and mentoring to the production team and facilitate training and development for all new and junior staff.
- Ensure timely review of work in progress to minimise any rework.
- Ensure production outputs comply with agreed standards.
- Identify and manage risks to the delivery of project outputs.
- Undertake assigned tasks and deliver quality outputs on time and within budget.
- Lead a team and deliver assigned work packages.
- Undertake detailed technical design of a project solution and develop technical specifications as required.
- Break down work packages into tasks and estimate the work.
- Monitor progress on a daily basis against agreed deliverables and adjust work assignments as required to deliver quality work packages on time and within budget.
- Provide technical leadership in the area of expertise.
- Identify opportunities to develop tools and reuse work from other projects to maximise the productivity and efficiency.
- Assist with the sale of new projects by providing financial estimates and technical information relating to production outputs.
- Assist in identification of skill gaps and recommend the most suitable training approach.
- Assist with project planning.
- Ensure accurate recording of time spent on production activities to help estimate future projects and improve resource utilisation.
- Ensure all production related activities are supported by adequate quality processes utilizing the Quality System and Wiki.
- Ensure practices and procedures used by the team are in compliance with the Quality System.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and developments.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of the service delivery process.
- Seek, use and promote best practice methods and tools to improve the productivity of the team and deliver superior outcomes.

Qualifications & experience:

- Minimum of 5 years' experience delivering projects utilising wide range of art tools and environments.
- Proven experience developing for real-time 3D engines (Low Poly Game design, Game modifications, Visualisation real-time rendering).
- Very good knowledge of CAD, Civil Design and Architectural software packages.
- Proven experience managing scalable technical teams with diverse skills.
- Demonstrated leadership ability, including strong time management, prioritisation and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of current best practice 3D modelling and Video editing tools.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships, and work collaboratively with a diversity of stakeholder groups and individuals.
- Ability to anticipate the needs of the artists in order to maximise their productivity.
- Ability to negotiate, persuade and influence others.
- Strong communication skills - both written and verbal.
- Attention to detail.
- Maintain flexibility in different situations and adapt to change.
- High level of personal drive and self-motivation.
- Commitment to continuous improvement.
- Ability to rapidly grasp new concepts.
