The Opportunity
Queensland Parliamentary Services are seeking an enthusiastic and highly organised casual Supervisor, Events to assist our Senior Supervisor, Events in overseeing our in-house events, ensuring exceptional customer service to deliver memorable experiences for our Members and guests.
**Your day-to-day**:
Collaborate with the Sales and Events team to understand client needs for delivering excellent service.
Brief team members before and after events for smooth operations.
Manage event logistics, including room setup, tech needs, decor, seating plans and coordinating with other departments as needed.
Oversee catering staff training and adherence to high service standards.
Ensure health and safety during events, with proper food and beverage handling per safety guidelines.
Keep financial records of events, collect feedback from Members and guests to enhance our services.
Event supervision and co-ordination of large teams in a five-star catering / hospitality environment.
Conflict resolution and problem solving skills.
Training, coaching and mentoring a team.
Proactive, collaborative and multitasking in high-pressure situations.
Provision of service excellence & continuous improvement.
Meticulous planning with keen attention to detail.
Adherence to health, safety, and food regulations.
Holds RSA and Food Handler certifications.
