Brisbane, Queensland, Australia Broncos Leagues Club Full time $60,000 - $80,000 per year
The Role

Events Supervisor – Make Memorable Moments Happen

(Internally known as: Functions Supervisor)

Ready to start ASAP | Paid Trial Included | Casual Basis

Are you the kind of person who lights up a room just by being in it? Do you love bringing people together and making sure every detail is just right? We're on the hunt for an Events Supervisor to lead the charge in delivering seamless, high-quality functions across our venue.

Why You'll Love It Here

  • Be at the heart of the action – from weddings to corporate gatherings to casual catch-ups, every event is different.
  • Mixed client base – you'll get a true, lived experience of event variety.
  • Solid recruitment process – shortlisting, interviews, paid trial. We do it right.
  • Supportive, hands-on team with a shared passion for making every function exceptional.

About the Role

Reporting to our Functions Coordinator, you'll be the boots-on-the-ground lead ensuring every function is set up, delivered, and packed down to perfection. You'll be 100% hands-on, working closely with both the front and back of house teams—and our clients—to make sure every event goes off without a hitch.

Roster flexibility is key – you'll need to be available across 7 days, including peak times like holidays and weekends. Typical shifts include early starts (from 6am) and late finishes (up to 12.30am).

Some heavy lifting involved – you'll need the physical strength to assist in setup and pack down.

Autonomy required – we're after someone who can take the reins and get things done.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate function setup and execution, following the Functions Coordinator's run sheet.
  • Lead the floor during events—bringing energy, direction, and a calm head.
  • Liaise with clients to ensure their needs are met and exceeded on the day.
  • Collaborate with FOH & BOH teams for seamless delivery.
  • Supervise and support casual function staff; train as needed.
  • Respond to hiccups or issues mid-function with professionalism and poise.
  • Assist with post-event debriefs to gather feedback and improve future events.
  • Pitch in across other areas when needed (café and bar skills are a big bonus).

About You

  • You're a natural host – organised, proactive, and thrive in a buzzing environment.
  • You've got solid events experience, ideally in hospitality, with a deep understanding of what great service looks and feels like.
  • You lead by example, especially when the pressure's on.
  • You're people-savvy, love problem-solving, and communicate clearly.
  • You're hands-on, not afraid to get stuck in, and love working with a team.

Must-Haves

  • RSA & RSG certifications (or willing to obtain)
  • Previous experience supervising or coordinating events
  • Willingness to work flexible hours (incl. weekends & holidays)
  • Comfort with early mornings, late finishes, and physical tasks
  • Ability to step into other areas (bar/café) if needed

What's Next?

Apply now and we'll be in touch to chat. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a quick interview, followed by a paid trial shift with our fabulous Functions Coordinator, Amy.
