Strategy & Operations

This is an opportunity to make an impact on our Risk Management Group (RMG) by supporting the design, definition and advisory on our business strategy. This role will see you working closely with all our specialist risk divisions (i.e. operational risk, credit risk, financial crime risk, etc.) and liaising with leadership and management of both Macquarie businesses and RMG to help inform and influence overall strategy development across the Group, with a key focus on emerging risks. _
- The role sits in Enterprise Support (RES), within the Risk management Group (RMG) Strategy function, which is a central group of strategy professionals providing insights on internal opportunities and external changes to develop RMG's strategy. The team develops, aligns and prioritises targeted plans to support the strategy, using a wide range of methodologies and analysis techniques (e.g. Human Centred Designed (HCD)). The role offers a great career path for an organised mind with a strong interest and curiosity in Business Strategy, Risk Management and Emerging Risk. _

**_As a Business Analyst / Senior Business Analyst you will:_**
- _Utilise your experience in strategy space focusing on development, alignment and prioritisation of targeted plans to support the strategy;_
- _Provide strategic advisory services to Divisions and Regions through formation of special projects, team visioning and strategic road mapping workshops, HCD activities, etc.; _
- _Help solve for complex strategic issues through use of strategic toolkit including strategy frameworks;_
- _Drive strategic insights generation on risks arising from group strategies, as well as ownership and a strong risk mindset around emerging risk across the organisation;_
- _Monitor and articulate insights around external changes that may impact strategy (horizon scanning);_
- _Build relationships quickly and promote collaboration across teams and divisions._

**_To be successful in the role, you will bring the following:_**
- _Several years experience as a consultant or business analyst focusing on strategic planning;_
- _Prior experience in strategic advisory as part of Big 4 consultancy or financial services firm considered a plus; _
- _Ability to think on one's feet and leverage prior knowledge and understanding of Strategic toolkit including strategy frameworks to devise creative, strategic solutions;_
- _Strong interpersonal skills, including ability to communicate with and influence Senior Stakeholders;_
- _Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and distribute significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy;_
- _Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with changing priorities and a need to manage multiple pieces of work concurrently;_
- _A high degree of self-motivation with the ability to make things happen; and_
- _Ability to guide junior team members._
