2026 AI Technology Graduate Program
AMP is proud to partner with the University of New South Wales to offer an exciting opportunity for UNSW graduates to join the AMP AI team as part of our AMP Graduate Program. This program is designed to accelerate career growth while contributing to cutting-edge work in artificial intelligence and innovation. We're looking for passionate, curious, and driven graduates ready to make an impact.
About AMP
If you live in Australia or New Zealand, you've likely heard of AMP. We help people with their banking, super, retirement and finances. In fact, we're the only financial services business that helps our one million customers through every stage of life - from opening their first bank account, to buying their first house, to retiring with dignity.
About the AMP Graduate Program
You'll join us as a full-time permanent employee, in February 2026 at our head office in Sydney.
Our structured program runs for two years and you will be dedicated to the AI Hub at AMP for the duration of the two-year program, with optional short periods spent with direct stakeholders in Technology.
You'll also complete a bespoke development program including workshops, technical training, customer immersion and participation in a Business Improvement Project and presentation to the CEO and Executive Committee.
This combination of practical work and development activities, and with the support of the program manager, mentors from across AMP AI Team, a buddy from the previous graduate cohort and the AMP Graduate alumni community, you will be set up for career success.
About the AI Hub
With Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Generative AI being a new key strategic enabler for the organisation, the AI Hub was established as part of the CEO Office, with CEO sponsorship and oversight.
The AI Hub takes on a people and business-centred approach to ideate, shape, prioritise, experiment, and recommend solutions that leverages emerging AI and Generative AI technologies. The Hub ensures that AMP's AI efforts are co-ordinated and focussed on the highest priority outcomes including uplifting awareness, capability, and mindset of our employees.
The AI Hub includes cross-functional resources representing Architecture, Cyber, Risk, Legal, Change Management, Strategy and Business Areas (Core team) as well as Technology Platform team and Solution Team consisting of Engineers (UI / UX, Front & Back End, Machine Learning & Data). Team members will work in a highly collaborative and agile environment.
This is a fast-paced team with a strong delivery focus. Team members need to work flexibly and be comfortable with high pressure environments.
What to expect
You will spend the duration of the AMP Graduate Program with the AI Hub as an AI Engineer. You will be assisting in the delivery of AMP's AI ambition, roadmap, and objectives. You will optimise and maintain the AI Platform to meet desired outcomes and AMP's standards. You play a key role in setting the foundations for building the organisation's AI / ADA maturity with a view to scale / industrialise over time.
A core accountability of all Engineering roles is to ensure close alignment with AMP's Technology function and to work closely with all relevant Technology stakeholders.
