Senior Electrical Estimator

About the RoleDowner is seeking a Senior Estimator to join their expanding team located in either QLD, VIC or NSW.
The Senior Estimator will ensure accurate estimates of the total cost of projects are completed on time and in accordance with required technical and company standards.
The ideal candidate will envision themselves attending to duties such as:Develop the estimating preparation plans and schedules to manage key tenders in accordance with the Sector calendarProvide advice and technical support to enable successful project/business outcomes and deliveryUnderstand client requirements (this includes site visits and client engagements) and develop estimating strategies to address these requirementsDevelop first principles estimates utilising the Estimating Library to ensure compliance and the use of the correct design templateDevelop estimations as per client requirements and the schedule to the required level of accuracy and qualityTo ensure compliance with the Downer Standard through tender development, approval, negotiation, and final handover to the Project Delivery TeamDevelop strategic alliances with suppliers and subcontractorsNon-conformances are corrected within prescribed timeframes
About You
• Experience in the Industrial and/or Power Generation, and/or experience working with electrical estimates is preferredProvide sound, qualified decision-making to the estimating process, following process and protocolsDriven by a focus on results and excellence, with a high degree of autonomy and a sense of urgencyRelationship builder capable of communicating at all levelsAdvanced knowledge of detailed engineering, planning, and schedulingExposure in estimating software Candy, plus Excel is preferred
