About the roleSawyers Arms Tavern is seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead our team.
This full-time position offers the opportunity to work within one of Geelong's best hospitality venues and being family run and operated.What you'll be doingManage a team of chefs and cooks to deliver consistently high-quality foodDesign and develop menus with weekly specials, seasonal menus and locally sourced produceOversee all food preparation, ensuring strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standardsAnalyse food and labour costs to optimise profitability and operational efficiencyCollaborate with the restaurant management team to enhance the overall customer experienceProvide coaching and mentorship to junior members of the kitchen teamMonitor industry trends and implement new cooking techniques and presentationsWhat we\'re looking forMinimum 3 years\' experience as a Head Chef or equivalent senior culinary roleGreat communication skills and team first attitudeStrong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staffExtensive knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and menu developmentExcellent time management and problem-solving abilitiesPassion for using high-quality, locally sourced ingredientsAdaptable and able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environmentApply nowSalary match, number of applicants, and skills match are considered in the screening process.Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?
