Make a Positive Impact on Your Community - Engagement Officer (Contract)

**Do you have a passion for community engagement and a desire to make a real difference?**

We are looking for an experienced Engagement Officer to join our client, a leading local government authority, and play a key role in their community engagement initiatives.

**The Opportunity**:
In this exciting role, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the development and implementation of effective communication and community engagement strategies. You will work collaboratively with a dedicated team to:

- **Design, deliver and evaluate community engagement activities** in line with IAP2 principles
- **Engage and build relationships** with diverse communities of interest
- **Facilitate meaningful engagement** and ensure all voices are heard
- **Contribute to the development of communication materials** to ensure clear and transparent communication with the community
- **Support the planning and coordination** of community engagement events

**Do yo have**:

- A minimum of **three years' experience** in community engagement or multi-disciplinary communications teams
- Experience working in** Local Government is preferred**:

- **Excellent communication and interpersonal skills** with the ability to influence stakeholders and facilitate discussions
- **A strong understanding** of the local government environment
- **A commitment to EEO principles** and fostering inclusive workplaces
- **A positive and collaborative work ethic** with the ability to thrive in a team environment
