Your proactive approach and understanding of current WHS legislation will be essential in the enhancement of our safety culture.You will be responsible for promoting and providing guidance aligned to Corporate strategy and compliance with Work Health Safety (WHS) legislation for all Health & Safety matters.
The role provides functional and technical advice and support to GM, Project Managers, operations employees, contractors and other relevant parties and has a key focus on continuous improvement in Health and Safety performance.The position reports directly to our Group Health & Safety Manager.The main responsibilities of this role include:Promoting and providing guidance aligned with Corporate strategyEnsuring compliance with legislation to Health & Safety matters across all ProjectsProviding functional and technical advice to employees, contractors and other relevant parties & ensuring they are aware of the standard safe behaviours and actions required by IlukaAdvocating participation in the Group Harmonisation process and managing the implementation to ProjectsManaging the accuracy and integrity of site Health and Safety data in the Cintellate systemParticipating in ICAM investigations & providing technical mentoring and coaching for the management of incidentsEnsuring site safety training packages and inductions meet the required standardsLiaising with relevant parties to ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory Health and Safety complianceAbout youTo be successful for this role, you will have:Relevant qualifications in Health and Safety coupled with experience in a similar role in the resources sectorExcellent leadership experience and skills in advising, mentoring and coaching diverse stakeholder groupsAn ability to implement strategic plans and lead teamsStrong communication skills, including the ability to facilitate groups and present informationStrong analytical skillsSignificant experience in incident investigationComprehensive understanding of applicable legislationAuditing experienceOur benefitsFlexible working arrangementsAbility to purchase additional Annual LeaveCompetitive base salary and short-term incentive programUp to 18 weeks paid parental leaveIluka Resources is an Equal Opportunity Employer and encourages Indigenous Australians and females to apply.
