In this newly created role, the Portfolio Manager - Quantitative Investment Strategist will report to the General Manager Dynamic Asset Allocation and contribute to the management of the medium term, multi asset Dynamic Asset Allocation (DAA) strategy.
You will lead a team to build and maintain asset class quantitative models to inform active positions, including valuation models and technical macro / sentiment models. Equipped with the valuable information generated within the team and working collaboratively with the broader investment team to keep abreast of changes in the macro/market environment, you will be responsible for proposing timely DAA changes.
This role could be based in Melbourne or Sydney.
**About You**
Key requirements in this role include significant market experience in a similar senior role in investment management, this could be gained in an investment bank, super fund, investment consultant or fund manager. You will have proven ability to undertake both quantitative and qualitative analysis to support decision making in addition to experience using analytical programs with strong coding skills (such as Python) and excel modelling including VBA.
Essential for success is knowledge and experience of portfolio risk and managing derivative instruments across key financial markets. You understand the concepts and market norms that govern instrument pricing and are able to assess "what's priced in" to financial markets.
