Overview
ePortfolio Educational Designer/Technologist role at UNSW. The position supports the implementation and phased rollout of the ePortfolio platform (Risr) across the Faculty of Medicine & Health, starting in the School of Health Sciences, based in the UNSW Health Translation Hub.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with academic and professional staff to support the implementation of Risr and the ePortfolio platform.
Support initial deployment and staged rollout across the Faculty, including areas such as accreditation, workplace-based assessment, programmatic assessment, and tracking student progress.
Utilise the Risr platform in accreditation, assessment, and progress tracking; contribute to design and development of forms, templates and reports.
Pilot new educational technologies, implement workflows, and evaluate effectiveness; manage multiple concurrent projects with limited supervision.
Design, deliver and evaluate professional development for staff (in-person and online) and develop supporting resources and guides.
Provide technical support and develop innovative solutions while maintaining collaborative relationships with staff at all levels.
Qualifications and Skills
Relevant qualifications and experience in technology-enabled learning, teaching and/or curriculum for higher education; or equivalent knowledge from education, training or experience.
Experience with ePortfolio platforms (preferably Risr) for accreditation, workplace-based/ programmatic assessment, and student progress mapping and tracking.
Experience designing and developing forms, templates, and reports using an ePortfolio platform in collaboration with teaching staff.
Experience in piloting educational technologies, implementing workflows, and evaluating outcomes.
Experience in managing multiple projects and working independently with minimal supervision.
Experience delivering professional development workshops for staff (face-to-face and online) and creating resources for self-directed learning.
Strong technical skills with Microsoft Office suite and Power Platform; knowledge of Power Apps for teaching contexts is advantageous.
Understanding of UNSW's aims, objectives and values, and relevant policies and guidelines.
Knowledge of health and safety responsibilities and commitment to relevant training.
