This comprehensive online platform provides students with valuable insight into the work of technologist graduates, designed to challenge and engage participants in a self-paced environment.

Technology plays a pivotal role in our mission to protect Australia and Australians from security threats. Our technologists work collaboratively across diverse backgrounds and experience levels, driving meaningful impact.

Program Structure
  • Module 1: Geospatial analysis, information exploitation, data profiling, and open-source research skills.
  • Module 2: Telecommunications data analysis, digital profiling, information security, and IT security.
  • Module 3: Software development.

Each module consists of interactive tasks that simulate real-world scenarios, requiring participants to apply their knowledge and skills to solve complex problems and achieve objectives.

Key Activities
  • Find the 'Dead Drop': Identify a secret location used by spies to exchange information without meeting in person (30 minutes).
  • Identify 'The Boss': Analyze telecommunications data to discover the real name of 'The Boss' (40 minutes).
  • Reveal the Network: Fix a broken piece of code to reveal the password 'The Boss' uses to access a covert network (20 minutes).
Benefits

This virtual experience is free for all students and should take approximately 90 minutes to complete. Upon finishing, participants will gain rare insight into the work of technologist graduates and develop valuable skills in geospatial analysis, telecommunications data analysis, software development, and more.
