**About Meals on Wheels**
Meals on Wheels provides nutritional support to elderly individuals in our communities. With a team of dedicated volunteers, they support ageing Australians to live independently in their homes, ensuring they receive nourishing meals and fostering a supportive network.
**The Role**
Meals on Wheels is seeking a proactive and experienced Branch Coordinator to lead and oversee the efficient delivery of meals in accordance with food safety standards and operational goals. As the Branch Coordinator, you will provide essential guidance to the team ensuring organisational objectives, policies, procedures, and key performance indicators are met to maintain the sustainability of the services.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate the timely delivery of meals, adhering to strict food safety standards and operational guidelines.
- Provide leadership, guidance and support to the team, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and policies.
- Contribute to the day-to-day operations of the branch, including supplier management, volunteer coordination, effective administration, exceptional customer service, financial oversight, and transparent communications.
- Collaborate with the management team to implement strategies for service improvement and growth.
- Maintain records and reports on service delivery, ensuring accuracy and compliance
To be successful in the role, you will have high attention to detail, exceptional organisational skills and will thrive on wearing many hats in a small but cohesive team. You will need to have a high degree of flexibility and a current drivers licence. Knowledge of Commonwealth Home Support Program, NDIS, HCP Support would be highly regarded.
Ideally you will also have:
- Experience within a leadership role in a food service or community support environment
- Computer skills with a solid understanding of Microsoft Office and the ability to manage clients through a CRM
- Leadership skills to oversee a team and think outside the square
