Plan and manage the planting, cultivation and harvesting of a variety of crops based on seasonal and market demands.
- Prepare soil by ploughing, fertilisers and other and ensuring appropriate irrigations methods are implemented.
- Select and procure seeds, fertilisers and other agricultural inputs, ensuring their quality and suitability for specific crops.
- Maintain proper irrigation and optimum growth conditions.
- Monitor crops for signs of pests, diseases and nutrient deficiencies and take preventive or corrective measures.
- Operate and maintain farming machinery and equipment such as tractors, harvesters and irrigation systems.
- Implement crop rotation and soil management practices to maintain soil fertility and sustainability.
- Keep accurate records of farming activities, including planting schedules, yields, pest control measures and financial transactions.
- Ensure copliance with agricultural regulations, environmental standards and health and safety protocols.
- Analyse market trends and pricing to determine the best time and method to sell harvested crops.
- Supervise and train farm workers, ensure effcient performance and adherence to farm practises.
- Develop strategies to optimise farm productiviity and profitability including diversification of crops and adoption of new technologies.
- Manage farm budgets and resources effectively to minimise costs and maximise returns.
- Collaborate with agricultural experts, suppliers and buyers to enhance operations and secure business opportunities.
- Maintain the farms infrastructure including storage facilities, fencing and irrigation systems to ensure smooth operations.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Have at least 4 years experience
- Strong knowledge of soil preparation, crop management, and pest control practices.
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining farm machinery and equipment.
- Ability to analyse and respond to market trends and demands.
- Excellent record - keeping and organisational skills.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
