Farmer Technical Advisor

The successful applicant will work closely with clients to provide expert agronomic advice, enhancing their knowledge of crop and livestock production.
This role involves technical sales support, product knowledge, and coaching the sales team to achieve individual and branch targets. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing agronomic expertise on various agricultural options and techniques for improving productivity.
- Analysing data and samples to identify factors affecting production, providing actionable insights for improvement.
- Offering guidance on crop disease management, pest control, and soil health to ensure optimal yields.
- Managing retail operations to exceed performance targets, while monitoring rural products against key metrics.
- Developing new business opportunities to expand market share and assist in setting sales targets and business planning initiatives.
- Delivering high-quality customer service through effective written and verbal communication skills, ensuring a positive experience for clients.
- Hold a tertiary qualification in Agronomy, Ag Science or a related field.
- Be able to work early morning shifts at Flemington markets, with shifts commencing at 4:00am.
- Bring prior experience in a similar role, demonstrating a strong understanding of agriculture products and client needs.
- Have a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service, combined with excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as basic computer proficiency.
- Hold a valid driver's license, with Forklift and HR Truck licenses being advantageous.
