Senior Structural Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join a high-performing design and engineering team supporting large-scale, brownfield operations across multiple industrial sites in regional Queensland.This role will suit a technically strong engineer who thrives in a practical environment, working with assets that are both ageing and critical to operations.
You'll oversee structural integrity, design, and compliance across a portfolio of complex industrial facilities, while mentoring graduate engineers and engaging with external design partners.The Role Lead design, analysis, and calculations for new and existing structures in compliance with Australian and international standards.Provide technical guidance across engineering teams, ensuring projects meet safety, regulatory, and operational requirements.Oversee structural drawings, specifications, and deliverables for internal and external stakeholders.Manage budgets and timelines for design activities.Coach and mentor junior engineers, driving high professional standards.Support continuous improvement initiatives in engineering processes, systems, and design tools.About You Degree-qualified in Civil/Structural Engineering.5-10 years' experience in structural engineering, ideally in heavy industry (manufacturing, processing, mining, or similar).
Chartered or RPEQ registration (or close to obtaining).
Strong knowledge of Australian Standards, codes, and compliance requirements.Proficiency in structural analysis/design software (SpaceGass, FEA tools, drafting packages).
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.Desirable Exposure to project management.Experience in industrial or process-driven industries.Background in brownfield projects with ageing infrastructure.Why Apply?
