Mechanical Fitters - Proserpine Mill at Wilmar Sugar Australia Limited. Engage in hands-on maintenance and repairs within our mill's crushing stations, focusing on hydraulics, gearboxes, and pumps. Collaborate with various departments to keep production flowing safely and reliably.

Your Role in Action- Innovate and Fabricate – Utilize workshop machinery to manufacture engineering components and contribute to various projects.
- Keep Our Assets Running – Participate in preventative maintenance, troubleshoot equipment breakdowns, and assist with fault reporting and repairs to ensure optimal factory operations.
- Empower the Next Generation – Provide guidance to apprentices and trainees, define tasks and performance targets, and offer on-the-job training and feedback.
- Collaborate for Success – Liaise with the Work Coordinator on costs and scheduling, and assist in assessing the economic life and performance of assets to drive continuous improvement.
- Document with Precision – Ensure work orders and permits are completed, and maintain timesheets and standard reports for seamless operations.
- Uphold Quality and Teamwork – Conduct inspections, identify problems, and implement improvements to ensure high-quality standards.
Our ideal candidate will hold a Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Fitting, along with a current Confined Space certificate, a valid Safe Working at Heights certificate, and a manual driver's license. Additional certificates are a plus; training and growth opportunities are available.
