**Early Learning Educator - Educational Leader**

**The Opportunity**

Samaritans Early Learning centre cares for 53 children a day, operating between the hours of 7 am and 6pm. We implement age-appropriate programs and educational learning for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years. A key focus of this role is to enhance individual learning outcomes by creating an environment that develops the abilities and confidence for each child attending the centre. This is achieved through having a detailed knowledge of quality practice that reflects current trends and includes a collaborative approach with families, children, the community, educators / staff members and stakeholders.

**The Essentials**
- ** Degree **in Early Childhood Education as approved by ACECQA OR** Diploma Qualification **in Early Childhood Education approved by ACECQA
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of developmentally appropriate practice with children
- Demonstrated understanding of:

- National Quality Framework (NQF)
- Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
- Child Protection and Mandatory Reporting & Legislation
- Workplace Health and Safety issues
- Programming and planning
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain a harmonious team environment.
- Excellent communication skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of current trends in Early Childhood
- Demonstrated knowledge of working in ways that ensure the inclusion of all children, particularly those that present with complex needs

**Desirable**
- Experience in an Children Services Educational Leadership role

The successful applicant will also possess or willingness to obtain the following; NSW Working With Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check, Provide first aid/ CPR certificate and Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates and undertake a pre-employment medical.
