Role Summary:

The GURNER Private Health and Wellness Club concept (Saint Haven) is more than a gym. It's a complete lifestyle: a second home and sanctuary for the body and mind. Through curated programs in movement, recovery, nutrition and connection, we deliver world-class wellness with a luxury feel.

As a Mat & Reformer Pilates Instructor, you will play a key role in delivering a consistent, elevated group fitness experience across our signature reformer class styles - Foundations, Flow, Power, Stretch and Dynamic - as well as both heated and non-heated Mat Pilates.

This is a dual-modality role: all instructors must be qualified in both Mat and Reformer Pilates, and willing to deliver both across the club timetable. You'll work collaboratively with the Pilates and Group Fitness teams to maintain high standards, deepen member relationships, and contribute to the vibrant energy of the Saint Haven studio spaces.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver consistent, high-quality Mat and Reformer Pilates classes in line with Saint Haven's signature formats and programming frameworks.
• Minimum 2 years experience in Mat & Reformer Pilates.
• Teach group classes of up to 16 participants on the Reformer and up to 20 on the Mat.
• Visually assess members, offering form corrections, tactile cues (as appropriate), and thoughtful regressions/progressions.
• Confidently manage mixed-level rooms while maintaining an inclusive, welcoming tone.
• Build strong rapport with members using names, celebrating milestones, and encouraging consistency.
• Collaborate with the broader performance and group fitness teams to ensure continuity of service and shared member care.
• Support ongoing innovation in programming, class planning and team development initiatives.
• Arrive early and stay engaged post-class, assisting with member questions, check-ins, MindBody software use, and transitions.
• Visually inspect equipment before each class and report any issues to the leadership team.
• Present professionally in Saint Haven uniform with a clean, tidy appearance at all times.
• Attend instructor training, workshops, and team meetings as scheduled.

Secondary Responsibilities (when applicable):

• Assist in the general cleanliness and tidiness of the studio and equipment.
• Complete opening, middle or closing tasks as assigned.
• Support on-site events and member experiences that promote the Pilates program and overall club engagement.

Key Attributes & Experience:

• Hold both Mat and Reformer Pilates instructor qualifications.
• First Aid & CPR certification (current).
• Demonstrated experience teaching group Pilates classes across both modalities.
• Ability to create a motivating, safe, and empowering class environment for members of all levels.
• Strong communication and member engagement skills. Able to lead confidently while remaining warm and authentic.
• Familiarity with Pilates props, spring variations, and progressive programming principles.
• Flexibility to work mornings, evenings and weekends as needed.
• Professional appearance and a team-first, solutions-oriented attitude.
• Willingness to engage in professional development and align with the evolving Saint Haven training philosophy.

• Consistently high member ratings and feedback
• Positive peer and leadership reviews
• Attendance at training workshops and active contribution to team initiatives
• Ability to deliver each of the four signature class styles consistently and in alignment with the brand
• Member retention and relationship strength (e.g. name usage, class returners, feedback)

• Take ownership of your role in building a consistent and inspiring Pilates offering
• Provide ideas, innovations or feedback to management. We value initiative and creative thinking
• Communicate member feedback or concerns promptly and professionally
• Assist with opening and closing procedures as required
• Adhere to safety protocols and support member wellbeing in every class
• Act as a representative of the Saint Haven brand on and off the floor
