Hays has partnered with the Queensland Government to build a standby talent pool of AO3 Customer Service Officers.

These roles will be activated in response to major natural disasters across Queensland, providing vital support to affected communities. Roles will be located in Zillmere, Brisbane CBD or Mt Gravatt.

Your new role

As a Customer Service Officer, you'll be on the frontline of disaster response, delivering accurate information, compassionate guidance, and emotional support to members of the public during times of crisis.

Your duties will include:

  • Provide high-quality customer service across multiple channels, including phone, email and web chat.
  • Offer clear guidance and information on customers' access to relief, grants, and support services.
  • Perform administrative tasks including processing, referrals, and transactions.
  • Provide emotional reassurance to customers facing crisis

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Have demonstrated customer service experience with high volume call centre experience highly regarded
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask between a number of systems while interacting with customers and your ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of computer systems.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of personal resilience.
  • Due to the nature of these roles, you will need to be available to start at short notice and be flexible to work shifts across a 24/7 roster.
  • You will need to complete a criminal history check prior to commencement.
