About Respect Resolution

Respect Resolution provides individuals, families, workplaces and communities with a respectful and affordable alternative to litigation. We believe disputes can often be resolved through constructive conversations rather than lengthy and costly court battles. By building a national panel of accredited mediators, Respect Resolution connects clients with impartial professionals who can deliver faster and more accessible outcomes.

The Role

We are seeking expressions of interest from
NMAS/AMDRAS-accredited mediators
to join our panel. This is a contract based opportunity that offers flexibility and the chance to contribute to reducing conflict and supporting fair, lasting agreements. Mediators on our panel will be allocated cases suited to their expertise and availability.

Key Responsibilities

Mediators are expected to:


• Conduct mediation sessions in accordance with NMAS/AMDRAS standards and ethical guidelines


• Facilitate respectful, impartial and constructive discussions between parties


• Assist participants to identify issues, explore options and reach mutually acceptable agreements


• Prepare and maintain accurate records, including intake notes, agreements and outcome reports


• Protect confidentiality at all times and ensure data is handled securely


• Participate in periodic feedback processes to help improve the Respect Resolution service

Areas of Practice

Panel mediators may be engaged across family, workplace or community matters. Examples include parenting and property agreements, workplace conflict, team relationship breakdowns, or neighbour and organisational disputes.

Skills and Attributes

The ideal mediator will demonstrate:


• Current accreditation under NMAS/AMDRAS


• Strong communication and impartial facilitation skills


• Ability to manage conflict calmly and constructively


• Empathy, professionalism and resilience


• Familiarity with online mediation platforms (preferred)


• Professional indemnity insurance (or willingness to obtain)

Pay and Engagement

This is a contract role. Mediators are compensated on a per-case basis according to their level of accreditation, experience and case complexity. As part of the Expression of Interest, applicants will be asked to provide their
current schedule of fees
.
