About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for Shift Millers to join our new Ballarat team.
Reporting to the Production Manager, you will play a key role in commissioning, operating, and optimising our new automated milling systems. This role offers a rare chance to work with cutting-edge technology and contribute to the development of milling operations from the ground up.
Key responsibilities include:
- Serve as a senior member of the production team, engaging with complex production processes to ensure optimal performance levels
- Operate and monitor advanced milling equipment and automated control systems
- Ensure delivery on customer quality and compliance standards
- Ensure all products meet specifications and productivity standards
- Maintain continuous efficiency of mill equipment
- Participate in cleaning and maintenance programs for all site mill equipment
- Maintain safe and healthy work environment in compliance with company policies and procedures
About You
You're a self-motivated and dedicated flour miller with a passion for innovation and excellence. You thrive in a team environment and are excited by the opportunity to help shape a new site.
You will bring:
- Proven experience in running a flour milling process
- Previous experience working as a senior member of a team, coordinating workflow, prioritising tasks and motivating other team members to meet high performance standards
- NABIM Milling Certificate or equivalent qualification
- Strong understanding of automated milling systems and digital controls
- Knowledge of food safety systems (HACCP) and Good Manufacturing Practice (BRC)
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment
- Clear communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
