YOUR ROLE

Reporting to the head of finance, the assistant accountant is responsible for assisting the finance team to deliver accurate and reliable financial information in a timely manner. The position is 5 days and approximately 30 hours per week.

The role requires close collaboration with the business to drive business performance, optimise resource allocation, and achieve strategic objectives.

  • End of month and end of year financial reporting
  • Bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Assisting management accountant with BAS and PAYGW requirements
  • Payroll reporting requirements including Payroll Tax and Work Cover
  • Fixed Asset Register maintenance
  • Support the accounting team as directed

  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office
  • Experience in use of Xero – preferred but not essential
