Are you a numbers-driven professional with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for accuracy?

Australian Property Scout (APS) – one of Australia's fastest-growing property investment companies – is seeking a motivated Accounts Payable & Receivable / Trust Account Specialist to support our Residential, Commercial, and Education (School of Property) divisions.

This role is pivotal to ensuring smooth daily financial transactions and operations across our group.


Key Responsibilities
Group-wide (Residential, Commercial, School of Property):
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable functions across multiple business units.
  • Ensure accurate and timely invoicing, payment processing, and reconciliation of accounts.
  • Oversee financial reporting, expense tracking, and compliance across divisions.
  • Provide accurate reporting to management on cashflow, forecasts, and commission structures.
  • Liaise with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders to resolve financial queries.
Commercial Trust Account Focus:
  • Perform daily reconciliations for our trust accounts.
  • Manage receipting, banking, supplier payments, and owner disbursements.
  • Process sales trust transactions including receipting and releasing deposit monies.
  • Execute end-of-month trust account processes and reporting.
  • Analyse ledgers, prepare audit-ready files, and assist with solicitor inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate records of marketing expenditure and generate sales reports.
  • Process and report on staff commissions across our leasing division.

Requirements
  • 2+ years' experience in bookkeeping, accounts, or trust accounting.
  • Previous experience in sales and rental trust accounting preferred.
  • Advanced computer literacy and experience with accounting systems.
  • Strong attention to detail, organisational ability, and excellent written/verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
