We are seeking a Senior Associate to join our Energy, Resources and Infrastructure team in Sydney to work on property and infrastructure matters.

About the Opportunity

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with

Larissa Buriak

and

Chris Mitchell

, Partners in our Energy, Resources and Infrastructure team. Chris brings extensive experience in property and infrastructure development in both the public and private sector, including major transport projects, PPP initiatives, residential developments, urban redevelopment programs, contracting, facilities management, joint ventures, and government development agreements. Larissa brings a wealth of international and domestic experience in the development, construction, and procurement of large-scale infrastructure and property projects, with a particular focus on rail and road infrastructure, energy infrastructure, and commercial developments. Her projects are known for their complexity and innovation.

You will perform primarily advisory and transactional work across the delivery of all aspects of property and infrastructure developments in the public and private sector.

You will be:

  • working on a wide range of infrastructure projects, large scale developments and project re-sets
  • drafting and advising on all forms of project documentation, including Project Delivery Agreements, D&C contracts, EPC and O&M agreements, PPP project documents, procurement documentation and associated documents
  • working across a wide variety of work types giving you a holistic understanding of projects including development and delivery

You will have

  • Previous experience in real estate ideally with exposure to large scale property and infrastructure developments within a first-tier or high profile property practice.
  • First rate written and oral communication skills, the ability to develop strong drafting and legal analysis skills, as well as an ability to get across complex areas of law quickly.
