Senior Associate, Projects Infrastructure

The role:
We are seeking a Senior Associate to join our leading Projects, Energy and Infrastructure team based in Sydney.
In this role you will work closely with our Global Co-Head of Infrastructure, Nick Carney, as well as other partners and lawyers across one of Australia's pre-eminent infrastructure teams.
You will undertake a range of work on complex infrastructure transactions (including PPPs), major development projects and defence procurement. You will have the opportunity to work across all infrastructure sectors with a current focus on:
- Social and affordable housing;
 - Digital infrastructure (including quantum computing and data centres);
 - Social infrastructure (including hospitals and stadia);
 - Transport; and
 - Defence.
 
You will work with us on the highest profile projects and procurements in the market. You will have the ability to develop a network of relationships and gain exposure to different types of work through exceptional learning opportunities working across most areas in the team.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Demonstrable experience in PPPs, construction and procurement with a focus on contract review, interpretation and negotiation from a leading top tier, national or international private practice; or an in-house environment;
 - An excellent academic record coupled with strong legal skills and a practical mindset;
 - A proactive approach and desire to be an integral member of our leading and supportive team;
 - An ability to work to tight timeframes, collaboratively and at times autonomously;
 - Excellent communication skills and ability to demonstrate collegiality within a team;
 - An interest in business development and thought leadership; and
 - Have a hunger to learn and develop, and be part of maintaining a market-leading practice.

Our Projects team work with clients on a wide range of large-scale, long-term infrastructure, construction and engineering projects providing them with innovative financing and bespoke contractual structures that allow them to meet their projects' objectives.
