Join Our Team at Peninsula Eye Optometrists
We're seeking a Full time Optical Dispenser to join our friendly team.

Availability:

  • 38-40hrs per week (of Monday, Wed, Thurs, Friday 9-5pm, and Tues 10:30-7pm and Sat)
  • Full time role ($76515 annual salary plus super)

The Role:

  • Guide patients from entry, assisting with frame selection, lens fittings, frame adjustments and repairs, contributing to providing optimal visual outcomes and patient experience
  • Problem solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues, including any customer service issues
  • Ability to cut and edge lenses, including fitting of Nylon and Silhouette frames
  • Ability to teach contact lens hygiene
  • Administration duties and making sure all operations are running smoothly
  • Delegating tasks within the team, and effective communications back to management
  • Ability to operate visual field machine, OCT and corneal topographer
  • Ability to edit and maintain practice website, and social media posting. Being able to use Optomate and Canva, and Xero accounting software to enter invoices and banking is a must
  • Participate in day-to-day practice operations, including patient assistance, sales, and administration
  • Window styling
  • Recommend frame options based on prescriptions, fashion, lifestyle and visual needs
  • Maintain impeccable practice presentation and merchandise.

About You:

  • High level of customer service and professionalism
  • Reliable
  • Cert IV in Optical Dispensing (or equivalent) is essential
  • Minimum 10 years experience
  • Experience in independent optometry
  • Friendly, well-presented, with excellent communication skills
  • Team-oriented, with attention to detail, reliability, and trustworthiness
