The Ramelius Exploration team encompasses near mine resource definition and regional discovery exploration programmes across multiple mineralisation styles and lithology.

Exploration programmes range from early stages soil sampling to advanced resource definition programmes surrounding the Mount Magnet operation in the Midwest and the Rebecca-Roe tenements located approximately 150km east of Kalgoorlie.

The Role Working as part of a small, collaborative team and reporting to the Field Technician Leading Hand, you'll provide practical support for exploration activities on drill programs and core yard environments. You can expect your role to include:

  • Daily collection of drilling and surface geochemical samples, following QAQC protocols.
  • Accurate recording, storage, and dispatch of samples to the laboratory.
  • Marking out drill sites and access routes.
  • Assisting with drill site earthworks, site preparation, and rehabilitation to statutory and company standards.
  • Collecting geophysical data (pXRF, ASD, etc.) accurately and on time.
  • Managing field supplies, sample trays, consumables, and equipment; and
  • Actively participating in safety meetings and identifying hazards in the field.

About You

You're practical, adaptable, and enjoy working outdoors in a hands-on role. You take pride in accuracy, safety, and teamwork. You'll also bring:

  • Previous experience as a Field Technician, Field Assistant or Geology Technician (exploration or mining environments).
  • Competent using GPS and map reading.
  • Strong organisational skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • First Aid Certification.
  • Forklift licence (Desirable).
  • HR driver's licence (Desirable).
  • Current WA "C" Class manual driver's licence; and
  • National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain).
