Role Description

We are seeking a motivated
Junior Accountant
to support our day-to-day finance operations. This role provides exposure to a wide range of accounting tasks, including bookkeeping, reconciliations, accounts payable, vendor management, and intercompany accounting. It is ideal for someone looking to grow their technical skills and gain hands-on experience across multiple areas of finance.

Key Responsibility

  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate financial records while supporting day-to-day bookkeeping activities
  • Process accounts payable invoices and perform regular AP reconciliations against vendor statements
  • Assist with month-end closing tasks, including preparing journal entries and completing various reconciliations
  • Contribute to general ledger upkeep by ensuring correct account coding and posting accuracy
  • Prepare basic tax, statutory, and compliance-related documentation as required
  • Ensure all financial activities adhere to relevant accounting standards and internal controls
  • Provide support to Finance Manager on ongoing tasks, reporting, and project-based work

About You

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent (or currently completing)
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping workflows
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organisational skills
  • Willingness to learn new systems; experience with Xero is an advantage
  • Strong communication skills when dealing with internal teams and external vendors
  • Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with accounting systems
