Hours: 16–24 hours/week (clinic hours between 7:30am–6:30pm)

About Denistone 52 ENT

Denistone 52 ENT is a well-established, multi-surgeon Ear, Nose & Throat (ENT) specialist clinic located in Eastwood, conveniently adjacent to Ryde Hospital. We're a dedicated and friendly team of six ENT surgeons and professional support staff, providing expert care to a diverse community.

We're now looking for a compassionate and experienced Medical Receptionist to join our team on a part-time basis.

About the role

This is a hands-on, front-line role where your professionalism, empathy, and attention to detail will help ensure the clinic runs smoothly every day. You'll be part of our reception team, supporting both doctors and patients by managing administrative tasks, appointment scheduling, and patient care interactions.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Greeting and assisting patients in person and over the phone
  • Scheduling appointments and managing the clinic calendar
  • Preparing and maintaining patient files and records
  • Handling phone enquiries with warmth and professionalism
  • Accurately recording patient information and messages
  • Managing billing, invoicing, and end-of-day reconciliations (EFTPOS, cash, credit)
  • Assisting with surgery bookings and hospital admissions paperwork
  • Liaising with hospitals, other medical practices, and allied health providers
  • Stock ordering and sterilisation of medical equipment (training provided)
  • Performing general administrative tasks to support clinic operations

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a medical receptionist (specialist setting preferred)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong multitasking abilities and attention to detail
  • Professional telephone manner and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure
  • Experience with Medicare and Health Fund billing (highly regarded)
  • Knowledge of Genie software (highly desirable)
  • Warm, empathetic nature with a passion for patient care
  • Team player who enjoys a positive and professional work environment
  • Fluency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese is an asset and highly valued in serving our patient base

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $30.00 – $36.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
