We are now seeking a qualified and experienced Bakers/Pastry Cooks to join our growing team.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a committed and skilled Bakers/Pastry Cooks to help produce our range of pies, pastries, cakes, and breads. You will work within a modern, well-equipped production kitchen alongside a supportive team that values quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement. This role is hands-on and suited to someone who thrives in a busy, high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce daily breads, cakes, pies, pastries, and related products to Pinjarra Bakery's quality standards.
  • Measure, mix, and prepare ingredients with precision.
  • Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency and high-quality outcomes.
  • Maintain effective quality control and comply with food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Complete general food preparation and assist with weekly stock ordering.
  • Pack and prepare finished products for distribution across multiple stores.
  • Contribute to new product development as required.

  • A genuine passion for baking, with strong skills in pastry, bread, and pie production.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced production environment.
  • Strong organisational skills and an excellent standard of cleanliness.
  • Commitment to food safety, HACCP compliance, and workplace health and safety.
  • A positive attitude, reliability, and a willingness to learn.
  • Effective time management and the ability to multitask under pressure.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Qualified Pastry Cook/Baker with a minimum of five years' professional, relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in baking and pastry techniques within a commercial or industrial kitchen environment.
  • Experience producing large quantities while maintaining consistent quality.

Salary & Conditions

  • Full-time permanent position.

  • Salary between $70,000 - $80,000 depending on skills and experience.

  • Additional guaranteed allowances or overtime (if applicable) will be specified in the employment agreement.
