About the Role

Our new Senior Analyst, Economic & Policy Research will join our Economics and Analysis branch in Investment NSW.

In your new role, you will be responsible for the management of projects, research and analysis that support the NSW Government's strategic priorities. You will conduct research on a wide range of industry, regional and economic issues to inform major initiatives, investment decisions, and policy development across Investment NSW and broader government agencies. You will apply your knowledge of economics and policy for the development and submission of Briefs and other reports. You are comfortable working in fast paced roles with supervisory aspects and often changing priorities

We're Looking For

  • Economic Research and Policy Analysis - Proven ability to deliver high-quality economic research, analysis, and advice across a wide range of industry, regional, and economic issues to inform policy development and investment decisions.
  • Project Management and Leadership - Demonstrated experience in managing projects and leading cross-functional teams—scoping and planning research, coordinating resources, overseeing budgets, and ensuring delivery of outcomes on time and to quality standards.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Building - Strong capability in developing and maintaining networks with internal and external stakeholders to improve project outcomes, share insights, and enhance methodologies and modelling techniques.
  • Effective Communication of Complex Concepts - Skilled in translating complex economic and policy issues into accessible, audience-appropriate materials, including written reports and presentations tailored to varying levels of economic literacy.
