What's on offer?
We are currently recruiting for an experienced and motivated Commercial Manager to join our Macquarie Park Bus Depot project team. Working closely with Transport for NSW this project will accommodate approx. 150 battery electric buses, supporting public transport services to the lower North Shore and Northwest suburbs of Sydney, stretching to Chatswood and Parramatta. The project scope includes construction of electric bus charging stations, wash bay, maintenance workshop plus administration building. This multi-million dollar project is set to commence late 2025 and will provide essential infrastructure to Northwest suburbs of Sydney.

As a Commercial Manager you will provide clear direction and focus on contractual activities including subcontract agreements, cost control and reporting, commercial claims, commercial reporting, risk and opportunity identification and management which is required for civil infrastructure and engineering construction projects. You will have the ability to work autonomously while administering and managing multiple subcontract packages. Your responsibilities will include the quantification and pricing of the scope of works, undertaking commercial reviews of tender documentation and reviewing and advising on cost plan estimates, submission documentation, risk/opportunity management and value engineering.

You are someone who can communicate efficiently and effectively at all organisational levels from executives to engineers and administrators, as well as with external clients, subcontractors & suppliers. You will also be able to:

• Both prioritise and problem solve, while managing internal and external stakeholder interests;
• Take ownership of contractual activities and influence outcomes that will exceed expectations;
• Quickly understand areas of concern/risk based on your past experience working in the civil construction industry;
• Thrive in a leadership role.
