Dee Why NSW, Australia Women and Children First Full time $60,000 - $90,000 per year

About Safer TogetherT

Safer Together is a comprehensive program developed by Women & Children First, a community-based, not-for-profit organisation supporting women, children and families at imminent risk of homelessness — particularly women and children escaping domestic and family violence.

Drawing from 50 years of frontline experience, Safer Together is committed to working towards the eradication of domestic abuse and violence through education, advocacy and community engagement. Safer Together aims to create opportunities for crucial conversations around respectful behaviour within communities, businesses, schools, and sporting clubs. The program also promotes corporate responsibility by equipping workplaces to foster psychologically safe environments - where disclosures of abuse can be received with empathy, confidentiality, and appropriate support for staff or members of the public. To promote societal change from a grassroots level, Safer Together works to embed respect and upstander behaviour as the norm.

About the role

The Safer Together Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the delivery and growth of our Safer Together and Expect Respect education and prevention programs.

Working alongside the Education & Engagement Officer, you will help coordinate and deliver domestic abuse and violence awareness programs across workplaces, community settings and schools. You will contribute to building awareness, understanding and action around domestic abuse prevention through education, advocacy and engagement.
