An IT services company supporting one of the Big 4 Banks is seeking a highly skilled SQL Upgrade Specialist to lead a critical uplift of the current SQL environment.
Role Overview
You will be responsible for upgrading the SQL environment to the latest version while managing the challenges of a large and complex legacy application landscape. This role requires hands-on expertise, strong leadership, and the ability to work independently to deliver a seamless upgrade.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the upgrade of SQL Server to the latest version.
- Oversee and coordinate offshore delivery teams.
- Manage and mitigate challenges arising from legacy applications.
- Ensure minimal downtime, stability, and high performance during migration.
- Provide technical leadership and drive the project to completion.
Requirements
- Proven expertise in SQL Server upgrades and migrations.
- Strong experience in managing large-scale upgrade projects.
- Previous experience working with legacy systems and applications.
- Ability to manage and collaborate with offshore teams.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of outcomes.
Contract Details
