About the Role
Working as part of the Adoption Business Unit within SRA, as a District Delivery Officer you will play a key role in the delivery of activities and functions within your district and as required, within other districts.
The Delivery Officer role includes supporting the District Manager with one-on-one grower engagement, and hands-on, 'in-the-field' delivery of in-field validation trials.
You will support the creation and delivery of District Productivity Plans (which are developed primarily by District Managers), including the various in-field research components associated with these plans and sharing of outcomes with industry.
You will also assist with the completion of current project activities (research and adoption) and supporting local growers with ongoing adoption of research outcomes.
About You:
You will bring with you the following qualifications, capabilities and experience:
- A sound understanding of sugarcane agronomy.
- Demonstrated extension, scientific or farm management experience.
- Ability to collect and translate productivity project data for insights for industry decision making.
- Project management skills.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- A focus on safe work practices always.
- Leadership skills - to supervise project and casual employees.
- The ability to work under hot and humid conditions.
